Blue Coast Carbon has two VCS-registered mangrove projects at advanced development stage in Guinea, West Africa, developed in direct partnership with Guinea's Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development.
Project Lamantin — VCS #5922
Mangrove REDD+ and ARR. Baseline fieldwork underway.
Project Balbuzard — VCS #5923
Mangrove REDD+ and ARR.
Standard: Verra VCS Standard v4.7. Grouped project design; Sectoral Scope 14 (AFOLU). Activities are: RWE + ARR (restoration) and CIW + REDD+ (conservation/avoided deforestation).
Methodologies: VM0033 v2.1 (Tidal Wetland & Seagrass Restoration) and VM0007 v1.8 (REDD+ Methodology Framework), with supporting modules VMD0055, VMD0051, VMD0052 and VMD0007

Blue Coast Carbon was founded by James Harrison — serial entrepreneur with two prior technology exits, a Human Geography graduate specialising in sustainability and development, and a former British Army officer and Deloitte strategy consultant.
Our scientific team brings deep expertise in marine ecology, remote sensing, and data science. Dr Federica Columbo leads marine science with a PhD in Ecology and 15 years of international research in coastal and satellite-based monitoring. Dr Thomas Moranduzzo leads data science and AI-driven monitoring, with a PhD in ICT and a decade of applied research in environmental remote sensing.
Our Guinea operations are led by Michel Camrrubi, who has 35 years of direct experience in West Africa and has been working in Guinea since 1989 — with specific expertise in Guinea's coastal ecosystems, investor relations, and community engagement.

Blue Coast Carbon is advancing two Verra VCS-registered mangrove projects in Guinea, with Project Lamantin (VCS #5922) at lead development stage.
We are currently accepting offtake enquiries for Project Lamantin.
Project Balbuzard (VCS #5923) will follow and enquiries for future offtake on Balbuzard are also welcome.
Delivery is tied to Verra issuance milestones. Project documentation and pricing available on request.
